The ACSL SOTEN Agriculture Bundle Plus brings Japan’s NDAA-compliant small UAS platform to the farm field with dual-band 2.4 GHz + 5.8 GHz connectivity and the TAITEN Smart Controller for resilient command and control. Compact, foldable, and IP43-rated, the SOTEN airframe integrates a one-touch swappable payload system and AES-256 encrypted communications, ensuring secure operations in diverse agricultural environments.

Tailored for crop monitoring and agronomic analysis, the Agriculture Bundle Plus includes a dedicated multispectral camera alongside the standard 20MP CX-GB100 visible camera. This pairing empowers growers and agronomists to evaluate plant health, detect stress, and optimize resource allocation with precision. With extended endurance supported by five smart batteries, a rugged hard case, and a multi-battery charging system, the bundle is field-ready for continuous use.

TAITEN’s integrated 7″ 1500-nit 1200×1920 panel stays readable in full sun, while a faster platform running ACSL TAKEOFF tightens the feedback loop for flight, gimbal, and camera inputs. The balanced chassis and up to 8-hour runtime (extendable via USB-C power) support long missions without juggling accessories.

Security measures based on ISO15408* are applied to prevent data leakage and extraction and to provide resistance to hijacking.

Major parts of the aircraft are either domestically produced or procured from highly reliable overseas sources. Security is enhanced with encrypted communications. Acquired data can optionally be encrypted and managed in the Japanese cloud.

One-Touch-Swappable Camera

ACSL SOTEN employs a swappable camera system, a first for a small aerial photography drone, enabling a wide array of camera options.

• Standard 20 MP Visible: 1″-class imaging with mechanical shutter for mapping and inspection clarity.
• SAMO Thermal: NDAA-compliant EO/IR for search, utilities, and night operations.
• Mission-specific: swap to multispectral or optical-zoom modules in seconds with the one-touch mount.

Extensive Scalability, including Closed Network LTE Communication and Offline Maps

With the use of LTE communications, SOTEN can be controlled over the internet, enabling autonomous beyond-visual-line-of-sight (level-3) operations in remote areas such as mountainous terrain and inside industrial plants.

The use of offline maps allows the ground control software application to display maps and manage autonomous flight, even in environments where internet access is not available.

An adapter for mounting the camera on the top of the drone, enabling the inspection of infrastructure from below, is currently under development.

Optional LTE enables remote tele-ops and situational awareness in hard-to-reach areas, while offline maps keep planning and autonomy available when coverage drops. The compact, folding airframe travels easily and is built for field conditions.

Safe & Capable Flight Performance

With a maximum airspeed of 15 m/s, SOTEN is capable of safe flight in severe conditions, such as natural disasters.

SOTEN is also equipped with SLAS/SBAS (sub-meter positioning augmentation from the Michibiki quasi-zenith satellite system), which can provide more accurate positioning information in Japan, enabling safer takeoff and landing in situations where accurate positioning information is required, such as disaster response.
